COVER ILLUSTRATION FOR BEASTLY HISTORY PODCAST

A digitally hand drawn illustration for the @beastlyhistory podcast, featuring thrilling tales of people and the wild! Stories of perilous polar expeditions, extreme survival stories, true origins of animal myths and legends and natural history heroes, villains and oddballs.

This was a lovely brief, giving me the opportunity to develop both my creature and human characters. The concept of the connection of humans and animals is a theme I love, so this was perfect for me. I loved creating the moody, dark atmosphere and combining my spray painted and hand rendered textures into the piece. Once I had refined the illustration, I combined the artwork with the cover title and created a selection of different layouts for the various features on the Apple podcast platform.
