CHRIST CHURCH INFANT SCHOOL MURAL

Christ Church infant school in Downend, Bristol, wanted a hand painted mural to brighten up the wall by their entryway to the school office. Prior to designing and painting the wall, the children at the school shared their ideas and drawings of things that could be included in the mural, with key themes including friendship, reaching for the stars, persevering (and rainbows of course) featuring highly in their ideas! Some key ‘value words’ needed to be highlighted, as did the school motto “A caring community, courageously learning, inspired to live life to the full.” They also wanted to include a line from the Bible they that chose to reflect their school values. The animals featured in the mural represent the names of each class on the infant site and the school also wanted to include some Bristol landmarks.

I also created a set of illustrated posters of each animal for the classroom signs.
